We work collaboratively, with direct communication and transparent information flow. Our nimble approach allows us to work fast and pivot as necessary to keep pace with your project as it evolves. And for clients wanting an even closer integration with our engineers, we offer our Fractional Engineering service.
Our engineers have worked on dozens of projects in chemical processing and extractive metallurgy at every stage of development, from concept evaluation through to execution and operation. We work through the details without losing sight of the big picture.
Your technology is first-of-its-kind. Your engineering will be too.
We thrive on challenging projects with complex requirements and constraints. Every Lydium project is designed to meet your unique needs. We do not rely on pre-built flowsheets or off-the-shelf engineering.
We provide our services to small- to medium-sized companies that are developing, scaling up, or demonstrating new chemical or metallurgical process technologies (TRL 2-7). We also provide review and decision support to investors.

Project execution is the business of finding a way to achieve the goals of the project. This is not a top-down exercise – it requires continuous engagement and adaptation, and solid engineering to stay on course. Lydium jumps in the deep end. We use our skills and experience to manage risk, organize resources, and drive projects toward successful results.
Recruiting and retaining the right employee can be a major challenge, while consulting companies are expensive and remain at arms length. Lydium’s fractional engineering service provides you with an experienced engineer, embedded in your company as a core team member, with the skill set you need to help grow your business.
Lydium provides your company with a high-calibre professional engineer on a permanent, part-time model without the hassle, cost, and difficulty of recruiting a full time staff member with the skills you need.
Developing a new process from scratch is challenging and involves many risks and unknowns. Lydium follows an established engineering approach to development that will help you advance through your project milestones. We help with concept screening, flow sheet development, techno-economic assessment of alternatives, and scale-up considerations. We draw upon our network of specialist consultants to get you the targeted advice you need, when you need it.
